
Some of our plants do their thing in the fall / winter… reminding us that whatever the calendar says, in fact it’s perpetually springtime in Auckland.
Above, the first bird of paradise stares goofily at us when we pull into the driveway.

The pink camellias drop their petals this time of year. It’s a pain, because they wet and slimy instead drying up and blowing away like you’d hope.

Lemons begin to ripen. Small crop this year after a bumper harvest last season.
