At some point last year we happened into The Next Bar & Grill in nearby Gulf Harbour on a Wednesday night.

It was bingo night! And we won a couple of games!

We went back semi-regularly, enjoyed the food and drinks, the bingo, and the banter. We won often enough to keep it exciting.

Sometimes there was a theme, and sometimes not. The guys on the microphone were funny. We ran into several acquaintances, surprising and fun since we’ve only lived here a couple of years.

But the owners decided they couldn’t quite make the restaurant work. The hospitality business is hard. We went along for the final night… biggest crowd ever.

We will miss the atmosphere there… we saw a sign today for some other pub having bingo and said “Meh” … The Next Bar really got it right.
