Riding along through the Italian Alps the other day, my bike chain snapped.

I’ve really enjoyed using my smart trainer and the Rouvy app to tour the world from the safety of my basement / garage over the past few years. I’ve put in a lot of hours / kms with this being my steady cross-training activity behind swimming.

Last year I wore out a set of pedals. Earlier this year, despite my efforts to lube the bike regularly, I ended with an encrustation of sweat salt in the shift levers requiring a trip to the shop. And now this!

But all good… way better here than if it had happened on the road.
