
I went out for some metal detecting during last Sunday’s big windy storm. I was right that the beach would be mostly empty, so I could treasure hunt in peace (found a few bits and bobs).
These kite surfers took full advantage of the big on-shore wind. There were more than 20 of them.
The picture doesn’t do justice to how big the chutes are, how fast they can skim along the water, or how cool it is when they leap 30 feet into the air and glide slowly down.
