I went out metal detecting last week, hoping to clean up after the busy New Year’s weekend at the beach.

I did find a nice bracelet that I hope might still be reunited with its proper owner. It’s the kind you pay a lot for in the mall, but which actually doesn’t have a lot of precious metal, so most of the value is sentimental.

It was a lovely morning to be at the beach. I treated myself to a coffee at the surf club.
