I was given a voucher for the Incheon Hop on Hop off bus tour as part of my conference swag bag. Awesome!
I picked the only rainy day of my trip, which meant that I hopped on, rode the loop, and that was that.
I did get a sense of life outside the convention center area… other than the fact that just about everyone lives in a high-rise tower, it all seemed pretty familiar to me.
We passed by a couple of “integrated holiday resorts”, and a few of my fellow passengers got off there. Casino, mall, concert venue, restaurants, etc, all in one building the size of a couple of big stadiums. They would not have been at all out of place on the Las Vegas strip. Except… they seemed really nondescript from the outside, with all the curb appeal of a warehouse. I’m sure inside they were just like any casino resort, but the un-grand entrances seemed weird to me.

We crossed the Incheon Bridge in both directions… according to the spiel on the bus it’s an engineering marvel. It’s definitely very long. I was in the front seat of the upper level of the bus, and driving under these giant cables was pretty cool.
