
Metal detecting a few weeks ago. There was a good onshore wind that day, so these pilots could just sit and hover for long periods, then swoop away and come back to do it again. Very cool.
Out there treasure hunting, it’s easy to forget where you are and just stare at the sand. But most of the time you don’t really need to. You swing the gadget over the surface and only need to look down once you get a certain kind of beep in the headphones. Usually the view is better somewhere besides the ground right in front of you!
And here’s what I found that day:

A few coins, including some old silver ones, and a nice digger.

And a little mountain of trash for the digger to work on.
