
Last weekend I did a 10km run.
From swimming and biking I’m in fine cardiovascular shape to plod along at 10 minutes per mile, but my running legs aren’t as strong as they should be.
So, five days later I still have what feels like a little water balloon behind my gammy knee and it hurts when I move in certain ways. It’s getting better each day, the swelling is going down. But sheesh… a week to recover from a slow 10k??
There were people out on the course easily 20 years older than me… I don’t know that I’ll be out there with them… but let’s hope so!
