Sentinel Beach Reserve, Herne Bay, Auckland.

It wasn’t a great metal detecting spot… I went there at low tide thinking I might find something a bit farther out. But the sandy beach turned to smelly, sticky black mud, so I stuck to the sand and only got a couple of coins.

But it certainly was a lovely winter morning to be out and about.
