Now, you’ll know how I feel about updating the WordPress theme that goes with this blog.

For many years, I was happy with the theme I used on the Brattleboro Adventure. It had a masthead and a list of some recent posts, showing a picture and part of the text of each one. That was about it.

Now, however, they’ve retired that theme in favor of an enormous number of shockingly feature-bloated alternatives. Even the ‘minimalist’ theme is so laden with faux-hipster coolness as to be unusable by me.

So, over the next few weeks, you’ll be seeing some weirdness and some changes as I work to achieve a semblance of the boring simplicity I crave.
