A Japanese Monk with Tweezers

In my suburban neighborhood, you only own a tractor to haul your boat to the water. It might be 100 yards, it might be half a mile, but for a dedicated boatie (that’s what we call them here) it’s a highly desirable thing. Keeps the car out of the salt water.

Seeing this (overly) big tractor for sale reminded me fondly of our time in Missouri. I spent a LOT of money on tractors, parts, and repairs, primarily so I could keep our long gravel driveway semi-smooth in the face of snow and rain.

By the end of that adventure I’d distilled the anecdote into saying it would have been cheaper to bring a Japanese Zen garden monk over to do the job with tweezers.
