The cast iron manhole and utility covers here in Madrid are ornate and / or chatty and / or full of Design. Yay!

Gas gas gas!

Note the new shoes. This is my second pair of Spanish trip shoes. The first ones were from Camper, which was enjoying a moment of hipness at the time. I felt quite cool wearing them. They got ruined when they got soaked in a rainstorm during a canal boat vacation and I dried them on the boat heater. They got hard and crunchy and never recovered. Sad. These ones are less cool probably but comfy so far.
