Custom vanity plates here in NZ are definitely a thing, and you can buy and sell them, sometimes for real money. If you were fortunate enough to snag CAMARO or HOTROD or BIGDIK (actually I don’t know if they’d allow that one) it might be worth $10,000 on the secondary market.

L AND J here went to Costco the same time as us the other weekend. Maybe we bumped into them jostling for a rotisserie chicken!
